ITER Control


Jmp ingenieros develop the design of complex software for the plasma diagnostics and electronic control of the world’s first fusion reactor (ITER). The goal of the project is to control 2.400 variables involved in the control of the fusion nuclear reactor with a control loop rate of 500.000 times per second.

The consortium of this project is composed of four companies with experience in the energy sector:

  • Jmp ingenieros
  • GTD Sistemas de Información de Barcelona
  • Fusion for Energy. Authority in Atomic Energy of the United Kingdom.
  • Culham Center for Fusion Energy. National Laboratory of the United Kingdom at the Culham Institute in Oxford.
